From Monday 19 July, we'll begin unfreezing all Active Nottingham memberships ready to use from the 5th August. You need to tell us by Friday 23 July if you want to continue to freeze for £6.99/month.
The last 18 months have been a challenge for everyone and, while returning to the spaces and activities we enjoyed before the pandemic is exciting and a positive step forward, we understand that some of our members might feel anxious or concerned.
We’re dedicated to supporting your return to our centres, so you can enjoy physical activity in a safe, inclusive and welcoming way – and we’ve collated the following information to help.
Yes! If you feel you’re not ready to return just yet, you can continue to freeze for just £6.99 p/m, locking in you current, great value rate until you’re ready. You have until 23 July to let us know.
If you’re considering changing your membership to a different package, speak to our Customer Contact team on 0115 8761600.
Yes, from 19 July all our facilities and activities will resume.
We certainly are! along with robust cleaning regimes, and a daily deep clean, we will continue to display the NHS track & trace codes for checking in and encouraging customers to sanitise their hands regularly and wear their masks when walking around the centres, especially during busy times, although this is no longer a legal requirement.
It’s fantastic that you’ve kept active whilst at home, but there are real benefits to both your mental and physical health of getting out and about safely. Working out in a group setting, going for a swim, and relaxing in a health suite can have far greater benefits.
Yes, you can! Whilst our classes have different intensity levels, you can do as much (or as little) as you’re able, without fear of judgment. Our instructors often give high and low-intensity moves too, so you really can get the most from each class.
Don’t worry! All our resistance equipment has an explanatory diagram showing how to adjust, what to do and what muscle groups you’re targeting. Technogym, our equipment provider, also has a handy app called My Wellness that has some useful instructional videos too.
All our centres have been awarded a CredAble Access Mark, a national seal of approval, recognising the commitment to supporting anyone with a disability or long-term health condition.
If you’ve found it difficult to remain active recently, our ‘It’s For Me’ campaign, has a range of activities and sessions suitable for all fitness levels and abilities and will support you to move more and enjoy being active again.
Next time you visit you can be assured that we are officially one of the safest around after winning another gold in the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) awards.
If you have a self-declared disability or health condition and you need additional support to participate in an activity, then a carer or essential companion can come with you for FREE!
