Tree Pruning Works

Please be aware that there will be a partial car park closure at Harvey Hadden Sports Village due to essential tree works. These works are necessary to support the health of the trees and to maintain a safe environment for customers and local residents.

Partial Car Park Closure (13–14 April 2026)
To prepare for the tree-pruning work within the car park, the affected sections will be fenced off from the evening of 12 April. The partial closure will remain in place throughout 13 and 14 April 2026. The following parking areas will remain open during this timeframe:

Noise and Working Hours
You may notice some noise from the machinery used for the pruning (including shredding of cuttings), but all work will take place between 8am and 4pm.

Site Access – Open Space Areas (15–17 April 2026)
Contractors will also be pruning the trees marked in purple on the map (see below) between 15–17 April. These areas are around the perimeter of the track and central pathways. Parking will not be affected during this phase. However access to the cycle track will be limited during this time.

A colour map showing Harvey Hadden Sports Village and the surrounding roads, footpaths, and green spaces. Several areas on the map are outlined in purple boxes, indicating sections where access is required. These include long rectangular sections around the running track, paths, and nearby grassed areas. Individual numbered points appear inside each purple‑outlined section. One purple box is also marked near the bottom left side of the map along a pathway. Along the right side of the map, sections of the car park are highlighted with red lines, accompanied by a note stating: “Carpark along red lines needs to be clear for 2 days.” The red‑lined areas run beside the sports centre building and along an access road leading south. A text box in the upper right corner reads: “Access to the sections shown squared in purple we will need access into these area.” The surrounding neighbourhood with houses and street names is also visible around the park boundary.
