Swim School

When do my lessons restart?

Together, we can keep everyone safe while learning to swim:

We’re really excited that Swim School is starting again and we’re looking forward to seeing you.

We’ve put lots of plans in place to make sure you and your child are safe when you use our centres. Have a great time!

General information

  • Please arrive no earlier than ten minutes before your session and leave the site as soon as possible at the end to help us accommodate the next group.
  • Please follow the signs to help you navigate around the centre for quick entry and exit. You may be asked to take different routes to those you are used to. There is clear signage to poolside and to the holding areas, pre-session.
  • There will be concierge staff on hand to welcome you, point you in the right direction and help with any questions you might have.
  • Make sure you bring a ready-filled water bottle as the water dispensers, the vending machines, or cafe will not be open initially.
  • Class sizes have been reduced to enable social distancing and are based on ratios linked to the size of pool area so these will vary from centre to centre.

Swimmer information

  • Please arrive beach-ready.  Swimmers should shower at home before and after each swim*.
  • Take your child to a space in the holding area. Help them remove their outdoor clothes and get ready to swim. Take all spare kit with you and watch from one of the assigned spectator areas.
  • Adults, please change near lockers, same as guidance for public swimming.
  • At the end of the session, return to collect your child and to assist with changing and dressing in the cubicle areas.
  • Please wait to shower until you return home.

Spectator information

  • No spectators are allowed for lane swimming and only one spectator per participant for Nottingham Swim School lessons.
  • Parents/spectators are advised to bring a clean, spare pair of suitable footwear.
  • Please wear a face mask in the centre if you are not taking part in the lesson.
  • Please remember to wash or sanitise your hands regularly.

*In accordance with latest government guidelines shower facilities are limited to people with Disabilities. Please notify a member of staff when you arrive if you need to access these facilities.
