Unless you have a reserved space in a Swim School lesson or Play Tennis coaching session, you will have to pre-book and pay in advance for your activity.
Whether you hold a membership with us or simply pay-as-you-go, we’re asking all our customers to pre-book and pay in advance.
This not only guarantees your space, but also protects our staff and you by reducing avoidable contact at our Receptions.

You can pre-book as many activities as you like, but please ensure you arrive on time. If you’re attending sessions one after the other, you’ll be asked to leave the building in between, so we can deep clean our equipment and facilities and keep an eye on capacities.
Lateness, in most instances, will mean that you will NOT be able to take part in your activity. This is already the case for our fitness classes under our safe exercise policy and may also not be safe under the current guidelines. To avoid disappointment, please make sure you’re on time, arriving no more than 10 minutes before your session is due to start.
If you’re unable to attend, please cancel your session, as we’ll be closely monitoring capacities in our centres. You can cancel via our app or website or by calling the Customer Service Team. Be kind – give someone else the opportunity to make the most of that session space!
No, if you’ve been advised your Direct Debit is restarting and we have confirmed your class day and time via email, this will act as your regular booking and you will NOT have to pre-book each week. Every other activity or session will have to be pre-booked.
Once you have an Active Nottingham account, the best way to pay is by holding a Direct Debit or Annual membership – you’ll simply log in via our app or website and select your activity, with nothing to pay if it’s included in your membership.
Alternatively, you can pre-book your activity and pay in advance using your debit/credit card via our app and website or by calling our Customer Service team.
You can also top up your Active Nottingham account with debit for cashless payment. Deposit funds in advance – via our app, website or by calling our Customer Service team – and use them to pay for activities, without having to exchange cash or use your debit/credit card each time you pre-book, speeding up the process.
Sorry, we will NOT be handling cash when we reopen and we’re removing cheque as a payment method.
