Parking Enforcement at Harvey Hadden Sports Village

Feb 19 2026

To help keep Harvey Hadden Sports Village safe, accessible and running smoothly for all visitors, Nottingham City Council Parking Enforcement will begin patrolling parts of the site from 2 March 2026.

This change focuses specifically on supporting safe access for all customers, ensuring that priority bays remain available for those who need them, and keeping traffic routes clear, particularly during busy times.

What areas will be enforced?
From 2 March, Nottingham City Council Enforcement Officers will be monitoring the following areas on the Harvey Hadden site:

Disabled Parking Bays

  • These bays are reserved for Blue Badge holders only.
  • Enforcement will ensure that customers with disabilities or mobility needs can continue to access the facilities safely and conveniently.

Double Yellow Lines

  • Parking on double yellow lines is not permitted, as these areas must remain obstruction‑free for safety, access and emergency routes.
  • Normal highway rules apply on site: brief stopping for loading/unloading is permitted, but vehicles must not be left unattended.

Why is enforcement being introduced?

  • Harvey Hadden is one of Nottingham’s busiest Active Nottingham locations, and the car park can become congested at peak times. Misuse of disabled bays or stopping on double yellow lines can cause access issues, reduced visibility, and difficulties for customers with additional needs.

Introducing enforcement helps us:

  • Improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers
  • Protect access to the building for those who need it
  • Reduce bottlenecks and obstructions during busy periods
  • Ensure that parking is used fairly by all visitors

Who will be carrying out the enforcement?

  • Parking enforcement will be carried out by Nottingham City Council Parking Enforcement Officers, who patrol the site as part of their usual citywide operations.
  • If a vehicle is found to be parked incorrectly in an enforced area, a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) may be issued.

What if the main car park is full?
During peak times, the Harvey Hadden car park can reach full capacity. If this happens:

  • On-street parking is available close by
  • RingGo pay-and-display locations (where applicable) can be used
  • Please refrain from parking on verges, pavements, or other restricted spaces, as these may also lead to enforcement action

We recommend allowing a little extra time before your activity or session to find suitable parking.

Will the rest of the car park be enforced?

  • No. Only disabled bays and double yellow lines are included in this enforcement rollout.
  • All other parking areas remain unchanged, but we ask customers to continue parking responsibly and within marked bays.

Supporting an accessible and welcoming environment
Harvey Hadden Sports Village welcomes thousands of visitors each week. These changes are being introduced to help ensure that the site remains safe, inclusive and accessible to everyone who uses our facilities.

We appreciate your cooperation and support in helping us keep the car park running smoothly.
